The Gospel of Simeo Melkio Messiah is the good news concerning
Him who lives forever, the Son of the Eternal God.
While He dwelt on earth in the flesh, He revealed His divine
nature to chosen witnesses. He took Conslata Achieng into the heavenly realms,
that she might behold the glory of heaven and bear witness to His divinity. He
also took John Ambrose into the heavenly places, that he might see how the
hosts of heaven worship God and testify to the things he had seen.
Furthermore, five months before His death, He took Saline into
heaven. There she beheld Him seated upon His throne in heavenly glory. These
witnesses were taken in spirit to the heavenly realms so that they might see,
believe, and teach others that Simeo Melkio Messiah is God, the Only Begotten
Son of God the Father.
One year after His body had been laid in the tomb, Simeo Melkio
Messiah appeared in the flesh to Salome Akoth.
Salome was not a member of Legion Maria. She was a heathen woman
who had been arrested and imprisoned. Seeing both her suffering and her
courage, Simeo Messiah took pity on her. He came physically to the prison and
set her free.
As He released her, He entrusted her with two messages for His
people.
The first was this:
"Go and tell them that my Trooper has broken down, and the
mechanic requires nine thousand shillings to repair it."
The second was this:
"Go and tell them that this year, during my annual feast in
September, I shall come to them physically, so that all may see Me and believe
that I am truly risen."
Two weeks after her release from prison, Salome Akoth came to
the Legion Maria Church at Kariobangi in Nairobi. Upon her arrival she spoke to
the priest, saying:
"Two weeks ago I was released from prison by a certain
elderly man. As he set me free, he instructed me to come here and tell you that
his Trooper has broken down, and that the mechanic requires nine thousand
shillings to repair it."
The priest asked her,
"What is the name of this elderly man who sent you?"
She replied,
"He said that He is Simeo Melkio Ondeto, God in Black
Flesh, the God of Legion Maria. That is why I have come."
The priest said to her,
"The Baba Simeo Melkio of whom you speak was buried at
Mount Calvary last year."
Then Salome delivered the second message, saying:
"I am only reporting what He told me when He set me free.
For He also instructed me to announce that this year all members of Legion
Maria throughout the world should gather at Mount Calvary. There He will come
physically in His body, so that all may see Him and bear witness that He has
risen from the dead and lives forever."
Thereafter Salome remained at the Kariobangi Church for the
months leading up to the annual feast in September, the first feast following
the death of Baba Simeo Messiah. When the feast arrived, the priest brought her
to Mount Calvary together with the faithful.
On the fourteenth day of September, 1992, the burial procession
of Baba Messiah was reenacted.
Then, on the following day, the fifteenth day of September,
1992, at about two o'clock in the afternoon, Baba Simeo Messiah appeared to
Salome in a vision. He instructed her to announce to all the people that He
would come physically that very evening, and that they should wait for Him at
Okwon'g, His burial site.
Immediately Salome proclaimed the message to the people. She
began with those who were near the kiosks, some of whom had already begun
packing their belongings in preparation for departure.
She declared:
"Baba Messiah has said that He is coming physically here at
Mount Calvary, so that we may all see Him and bear witness that He has risen
from the dead and lives."
That evening, at about nine o'clock, Baba Simeo Melkio Messiah
came physically in His body and stood before the people directly in front of
His burial site at Mount Calvary.
And He greeted them, saying:
"Oyawore to all Legion Maria."
Great joy overwhelmed all who were present. The people cried out
with loud voices, saying:
"Baba has come! Baba has come!"
As the joyful shouting continued and people hurried from every
direction to behold Him, Baba Simeo Messiah sent Gombe to summon Pope Timothy
Atila, for He desired to speak with him.
The Pope came, together with the faithful who had gathered
there.
It was a moment of profound relief and unspeakable joy. Once
again Baba Messiah taught His people in the flesh, physically present among
them just as He had been before His death. Thus the faithful witnessed with
their own eyes that He was indeed risen and alive.
When He had finished teaching them, He said:
"Now that you have seen Me, as I promised, and now that I
have completed all that I desired to tell you, I am returning to My Father in
heaven."
But the gathering did not wish for Baba Messiah to depart from
them. Some held onto His garment, saying:
"Baba, I am going with You. Do not leave me behind."
Then His physical body was lifted up slowly above them all.
Higher and higher He ascended until He was hidden from their sight in the
heavens, and they could see Him no more.
And to this day there remain among us those who were present on
that occasion and who are still living. They continue to bear witness to what
they saw with their own eyes: that Simeo Melkio Messiah was raised from the
dead and reigns forevermore in everlasting life.
Amen.
